Waypoint is a GPS-powered location pin app built by Greycastel. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to these terms.
Waypoint lets you save GPS locations and navigate back to them using your device's GPS and compass. You may use the app for any lawful purpose. You are responsible for your use of the app and any decisions you make based on it.
Waypoint relies on your device's GPS and compass hardware. Location accuracy varies depending on your device, environment, and satellite conditions. Waypoint is not a substitute for professional navigation equipment, maps, or emergency services.
Do not rely on Waypoint in situations where inaccurate location data could result in injury, property damage, or danger. Always carry appropriate navigation tools and exercise personal judgment when navigating outdoors.
By default, all pins, trails, photos, and preferences are stored locally on your device, and Waypoint's core features work without any account or server.
Waypoint also offers an optional Cloud Backups feature, which is turned off by default. If you enable it, you sign in with your Apple or Google account and your pins, trails, and Game Mode scores are copied to a cloud database so you can restore them on another device. Photos are not backed up. You can delete your backup and disconnect your account at any time from within the app. See our Privacy Policy for what is stored, who can access it, and how deletion works.
You are responsible for any data loss resulting from deleting the app, clearing app storage, or device failure. Cloud Backups is provided as a convenience on an “as available” basis; we do not guarantee the availability, completeness, or recoverability of backed-up data, and you should not rely on it as your only copy of important information.
Waypoint is free to download and includes a free tier. Premium features are available through a single one-time purchase. There are no subscriptions and nothing that automatically renews.
The Waypoint app, including its design, code, and branding, is the property of Greycastel. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the app.
Waypoint is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy of location data.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Greycastel shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of Waypoint. Our total liability for any claim related to the app shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You may stop using Waypoint at any time by deleting the app. We reserve the right to discontinue the app or any of its features at any time.
If these terms are updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with applicable law.
